Fitness Monday!

So, I thought that this week for Fitness Monday, I would share a workout that my roommates and I have recently re-discovered. Tae-bo! It's from the late '90s, and was created by fitness trainer Billy Blanks. The outfits he wears are totally ridiculous, but the work out is great! I found the 8 minute workout on youtube, and figured I would share it with you! It's perfect for days when you don't have a lot of time, and would be an awesome way to start the day! Here it is:



I also thought I would address a few websites that I've discovered that can help you track what you eat and how much you work out. Some of them even give you workouts and meal plans! A few that I've checked out have been:

1. Body by Glamour
2. Self Challenge
3. Shape's Bikini Body Countdown

All three of these sites are excellent resources for staying fit. Especially since bikini season is right around the corner!

    Jillian Michaels videos are always really good, and I love Pilates for days when I'm not feeling like working out.

  2. hahhah yes!!! lol I was just thinking about tae bo and was like "where did that go??" lol I'm still on Jillian's 30 day shred bu I'm thinking of picking up a yoga tape to do at nighttime and just hitting the gym for sure and eating right! ahhh...omg but last year i lost about 40 lbs and this year I want another 30 off! thanks for this post and keeping me motivated!

  3. when i was younger i always used to do the tae bo videos.
    we had the whole boxed set.
    and i thought it was fun.
    why didn't that mindset stay with me through the years? haha.

  4. I remember having to work out to Billy Blanks in high school gym :-) We LOOOVED making fun of his spandex! My husband and I were looking at workout DVDs and thought about buying some of his... but they're all an HOUR long and we just don't have time for such a long workout! I'll have to check out his 8minute video!

    i call it the spice girl workout. it's a butt kicker but it's also fun and really works!
