I am now the proud owner of...

...this beauty. After drooling over it for months, at a whopping $298 there was no way I could afford it. I finally found it on ebay and got quite a bargain on it. I couldn't be more excited to get it. The color seriously warms my heart. It will be a perfect teaching skirt!

I spent all of today being sick...still. It's getting really annoying. I got a little bit of homework done, and started reading my next book called War and Genocide: A Concise History of the Holocaust. This topic breaks my heart over and over again, and I have become really passionate about it. Hate is such a strong thing. I plan on teaching my students about the effects hate can have on the world. The extremely sad thing is that it is still going on in the world. In 1994, the Rwandan genocide took place, and it is still happening in Darfur. How can anybody let this stand? Sorry, I didn't meant to bring up such a negative topic. It's just like I said, I'm a tad passionate about it. Back to my day...I called in sick for the second time this week, which was no big deal because I NEVER call in sick, so my managers had no problem believing me. That, and I sort of sound like a man, which is never fun. My evening was spent hanging out with Luke, watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," and chain-sucking on cough drops. Real exciting, huh?

Tomorrow, I'm hoping that I feel a little bit better because I am going to get my hair cut and dyed if I'm up to it. I'll be sure to post pictures if I do. I hope everyone is having a great Friday!

PS. What do you think of my new layout!? :)

  4. I love that skirt!!! The color is wonderful for spring and summer!! The new layout looks great! In one of my sociology classes we watched a documentary on the Rwandan genocide called Shake Hands With the Devil: The Journey Romeo Dallaire, it is a great documentary and really shows just how strong hate is and how small the reasons usually are.
