I am officially adding a Human Relations minor onto my Social Studies Ed. degree, and I couldn't be happier about it. It's going to be a lot of extra work, but I think it will better me as a person and as a future teacher. ♥

Life is good right now.

I won! I won!

I won a giveaway from Strumpet's Crumpets! I'm super excited about it because it's sugar skull cards!! Eeee! You all know how much I love sugar skulls. :) Thanks so much Becky! I'm so excited to get my package. Everyone should totally check out her blog and etsy. She has a bunch of adorable stuff and is so talented.

I'm off to do some homework now. Have a good night everyone! :)

Happy Monday!

I am in the best mood right now! The sun is shining and it's almost 50 degrees outside! For those of you who don't live in Minnesota, that is warm for March! It finally feels like spring is here, and by Wednesday it's supposed to be 70 degrees. Woohoo! I can't wait. I can't remember the last time I was feeling this positive. I think it's just a mixture of finally feeling better and the weather. That, and I'm finally pretty caught up on all of my homework. I can't wait for the semester to be over!

Today will be a pretty busy day for me. After I finish this, I'm going to do some reading, and then go to class with Luke at 2. After class I have to quick run to the bank and then I work this evening as well, which surprisingly, I'm not too bummed about. I just hope that I work with some of my favorite people tonight. The people always make it better. Always. It's crazy how much your attitude and demeanor affect your mood. I love it.

I hope everyone has an amazing day! I know I'm going to. What a great way to start the week off. :)

i LOVE mila kunis.

I love her in every role she's ever played! She's too funny, and is absolutely gorgeous. :) How can you not love her? Especially her hair.
Today was a weird day. I woke up to my phone ringing. It was my manager telling me that I was apparently scheduled to work today, and I didn't know it. It wasn't a big deal, but I quick got ready and went to work. After I got done with work at 6 I also had to go to a work meeting until about 9. It was a long day, especially because I still feel like crap today. I need the money though, so it's no big deal. I'm actually kind of glad I had to work today because it got me up out of bed and because it was so busy today I didn't really even think about how bad my head and throat hurt. Hopefully, this cold goes away soon because I really don't know how much longer I can take it. I'm off to bed early tonight because I need to rest up. Hopefully you all had awesome weekends!

Did you do anything fun?

It's Always Sunny.

When I first heard about this show I thought it would just be another dumb "guy" show, and I had absolutely no interest in watching it. Luke finally convinced me to watch it with him (he owns the seasons), and I fell in love with it. I have never laughed so much at a show. Seriously, I want to be their friend. Does anyone else love this show? What shows make you laugh until you cry?

If you haven't seen this show yet, you need to. Go to hulu.com and you can watch some of the full episodes. :)

I am now the proud owner of...

...this beauty. After drooling over it for months, at a whopping $298 there was no way I could afford it. I finally found it on ebay and got quite a bargain on it. I couldn't be more excited to get it. The color seriously warms my heart. It will be a perfect teaching skirt!

I spent all of today being sick...still. It's getting really annoying. I got a little bit of homework done, and started reading my next book called War and Genocide: A Concise History of the Holocaust. This topic breaks my heart over and over again, and I have become really passionate about it. Hate is such a strong thing. I plan on teaching my students about the effects hate can have on the world. The extremely sad thing is that it is still going on in the world. In 1994, the Rwandan genocide took place, and it is still happening in Darfur. How can anybody let this stand? Sorry, I didn't meant to bring up such a negative topic. It's just like I said, I'm a tad passionate about it. Back to my day...I called in sick for the second time this week, which was no big deal because I NEVER call in sick, so my managers had no problem believing me. That, and I sort of sound like a man, which is never fun. My evening was spent hanging out with Luke, watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," and chain-sucking on cough drops. Real exciting, huh?

Tomorrow, I'm hoping that I feel a little bit better because I am going to get my hair cut and dyed if I'm up to it. I'll be sure to post pictures if I do. I hope everyone is having a great Friday!

PS. What do you think of my new layout!? :)

I need to see this!

After nearly finishing off a bottle of Dayquil...

...I'm getting sick and tired of this stupid sore throat. I feel like a pile of crap, and it's just not getting better. This is not fun at all. After getting little to no sleep last night, I attempted to make myself feel better by showering...it didn't help, and of course I had to go to both of my classes this morning because I missed them on Tuesday while I was in D.C. I've done basically nothing for the past few days and I feel worthless.

Dad, if you're reading this...I would really like a hot toddy right about now. So, if you don't mind, could you please come to Minnesota and make me one? They are so much better when you make them.

Anywho, I'm done with the pity-me-party. Today was pretty cold outside, which isn't really a shocker. Minnesota likes to do this to us. We are teased with warm weather, but I guarantee we will get at least one more dumping of snow before summer. Speaking of summer, I'm SO ready for it. I'm ready for summer dresses, camping, going to the beach, rollerblading, picnics, flowers, green, hiking, sandals everyday, and late night walks. :)

Happy Wednesday...sort of.

This week has been such a blur so far. I woke up Monday with a little sore throat, and by the evening I had a fever over 100, and body aches. I was so scared I wasn't going to get to go to Washington D.C. on Tuesday because our bus left at 2:30 AM, like I mentioned before. So after I got off of work I went to sleep for like four hours after taking some Sudafed. It helped a little, and my fever had gone away so I went to campus to get on the bus. Tuesday was so much fun. It's so pretty in DC, and I have never wanted to live somewhere so much! There are parks and trees and shrubs everywhere. It's so wonderful. Here are a few pictures!

We got home late last night around midnight, and I passed out the second my head hit the pillow. I woke up early this morning, and wrote my paper on The Fire. Unfortunately, I'm still sick today, and my voice is practically gone. So, my wonderful boyfriend brought my paper to campus to give to our professor. He's so awesome. :) Plus, my managers at work were very understanding when I called in and they could hardly understand what I was saying. I'm very greatful to have a day to rest and get better, AND read blogs! Haha, I should probably do some homework too.

Have a good day, loves!

A quick hello!

I'm finally making a dent in my book, and am in much better spirits today. I've been reading all morning, and am now getting ready to go to my only class today. After class, I'll read for a bit more, and then I work tonight. My evening will probably be another homework-filled one, and I'm not quite looking forward to it, but I know I will feel much better after it is all done with. Also, tomorrow is my big Washington D.C. trip, and I couldn't be more excited about it. Minus the fact that we have to be ready to leave St. Cloud by 2:30 AM. I can't even decided if I should go to bed tonight. I get off work at 9 PM, and by the time I get home it'll be close to 10 PM. Is four hours of sleep even worth it? Who knows. We'll see how I'm feeling tonight. Here are a few pictures of today's outfit:
