If you're ever in St. Cloud, MN...

...which I doubt you ever will be, but IF you are, there is one place you must go. There is a little place on St. Germain Street called Val's Rapid Service. They have THE best burgers, fries, and shakes around. Greasy? yes. Fattening? absolutely, but I wouldn't change a thing about it. SO, yummy. Plus, Val's has been around for around 50 years, and hasn't changed a bit. (Except for maybe updated computers) It's so cool to think about the fact that this place has been here, and been loved by so many generations.

My life is so lame lately...

My life has been so hectic lately. I'm busy with school, work, and then my spare time is spent sleeping and doing more homework. I've been a terrible blogger, but I'm not going to apologize because I'm sure all of you understand. Plus, blogging is supposed to be fun, not more homework. Anywho, this past weekend was really busy. Saturday I woke up really early, and was at work by 7am. My friend Sarah and I volunteered to work the watering hole for the half marathon my work sponsers. It was early, but a lot of fun. Except for the fact that I totally screwed up my back carring the huge garbage bins filled with water. No fun at all. After we were done volunteering, Sarah and I went to Leeann Chin for lunch, and then headed to work 12 to 9. After work, I hung out by myself. Sunday was another long day of work, which I didn't mind because I got off at 6, and still had the evening to do some stuff. I went to the gym with my friend Ben from work, and then he came over and played Yahtzee with me, Laura, Megan, and our neighbors. Plus, we watched Super Troopers, which...is my favorite comedy movie. I could watch it over and over and over, and still laugh just as hard. "The snozzberries taste like snozzberries." HAHA, I love it. Monday was another work day, and today was spent doing homework.

Happy Monday!

Photobucket
After a long weekend of working and doing homework, I'm feeling ready to tackle this week. It's another busy one, but it also brings me one week closer to summer, which I am so excited for! I've got a lot on my plate this week, so my posts may be pretty boring and minimalistic, which I'll apologize for ahead of time. Sorry! Anyways, I'll keep this short and sweet because I have class in an hour, and work afterwards. (Told you I was busy) Tonight, after work, I'll be up pretty late again working on homework. Hurry up, summer! I need you! Hope everyone has an awesome Monday! Here are some embarassing pictures from this morning.

Such a long week.

This week has been by far the busiest one I've had this semester...at least so far. I have had absolutely no time to breathe, let alone blog. I did miss you all though, and it feels good to just be relaxing by myself for the evening. I had three fairly large and influential assignments due on Thursday, and I was up VERY late on Wednesday working on them. It felt so good to get all of that off of my plate. This doesn't mean I have tons of R&R on my hand though. I'm about half way through the book War & Genocide, and have to write a paper on it due Monday. It's a good book, so that makes it much easier to tackle. Yesterday was much more relaxing then the first half of the week. Laura dyed my hair for me, which I love! It feels so good to have dark hair again. Now all I need is a haircut, or at least a trim of the bangs.

I'm not really looking forward to this weekend at all. I work nine hours tomorrow, and eight on Sunday. So, it's really not that much of a weekend at all. Especially since all of my spare time will be spent on homework. Bring it on, I guess.

Here are a few pictures from the this week.

Movie Suggestion

I just watched "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" with my roommates. It is a must-see for sure. It is a devastatingly beautiful story. If you haven't seen it you need to for sure. Have a box of kleenex near by.

Dear Summertime,

Could you come faster? I am in serious need of your warmth and sunshine. I need you because you bring a time of relaxation and fun. The thing I am most looking forward to about you is planning a camping trip. It is by far one of my favorite past times as a child. I even remember being in the "hiking club." I had my very own green fanny pack, and a little booklet that listed all of the hiking trails on minnesota state parks. We went almost every summer when I was a kid. I miss it dearly. I've always been an outdoorsy type of girl, and I'm so glad that I am.
Here are a few more pictures that I found here.
I hope everyone has a great week. Mine is pretty busy, which is just another reason that I am dying for summer to come!

I had an awesome weekend!

This weekend was wonderful, and I tried to enjoy as much of it as I could because it is my last weekend off for a month. I don't even really want to think about it because I'm not happy about how many hours I got the last month of the semester. But I won't bore you with details because there's nothing you or I can do about it. ANYWAYS, back to my weekend. (Did that sound conceited? Oops.) Friday was just like every other Friday. After work I went out for my friend Jack's 21st birthday. It was a lot of fun. I always love celebrating birthdays.

Yesterday, I hung out with Luke for most of the day. We ran some errands including grocery shopping, and then the library. They had an exhibit set up about the midwest and WWII. Us being the geeks that we are were all over that! We are seriously perfect for each other. It was a bit of a disappointment because we ended up showing up for one of the speakers that we had already previously heard in our WWII class. So we checked out a few movies and left. The rest of the day was spent relaxing, and watching tv. I'm a little disappointed in myself for not doing any homework. Oh well, there's always tomorrow. (Wow, spoken like a true procrastinator.) I also found out that my dad, sister and I are going to see Green Day in Colorado in August, which is super exciting!

Today was a great day. After Luke got off work at noon we headed down to his parent's house, and then headed down to his Uncle Paul's for Easter dinner. I honestly love his family to death. Every time I see any of them I'm greeted with such warmth. It's an amazing feeling. We spent most of the day eating amazing food, and chit chatting with Luke's uncles about history and what not. Luke's family history is quite amazing. I won't go into it, but his grandparents and all family prior to them were quite influential in Germany. It was really awesome to listen to his uncles' stories. I had an awesome day with everyone. It was a perfect ending to the weekend.
