life is so perfect right now.

life has been so stressful because of school, work, and everything else. i finally feel like things are going back to normal, but at the same time better then normal. campus is so beautiful right now, i can't help but smile when i'm walking from class to class. i'm so greatful to have such gorgeous scenery right here, and luke and i have been going on walks whenever we get the chance. things just couldn't get better...unless my homework learned how to do itself. ;)

couch to 5k.
Ever since I can remember I've always hated running, and despite attempts to change that hate into love, I never really learned to love it. I was talking to a coworker, who used to be a personal trainer, about this little rut I've recently gotten into and she suggested I start running. I told her basically the same thing I started this post out with and she told me about a program called Couch to 5K. It is a 9 week program that basically transforms you from a couch potato to someone who could easily run a 5k race.
I've always known that running was the best way to get into shape, but I've always just told myself that "I'm just not a runner." But I'm really going to give this a shot. I'm not 100% sure that I'm going to succeed, but I am going to give my all to get into shape.
Have any of you ever heard of Couch to 5K before?

so...
I am completely and utterly in love with this dress. I'm fairly certain that when I get engaged someday (hopefully not too far in the future) this will be my bridesmaids' dress. I just love love love it!

woke up on the right side of the bed :)
I decided to start to day with a positive attitude, and make a list of things that make me happy:
1. waking up to the smell of coffee.
2. awesome roommates who give you rides to class.
3. luke, because he always makes me smile.
4. having a large portion of the day to get caught up on stuff.
5. fall is coming!
6. allergy medicine that works.
7. scoring a 15/15 on a quiz that you forgot to do until last minute.
8. my new red hair.
9. scarves
10. the sun is back today!!!

trashy television.
I will be the first to admit that I have a sick obsession with trashy reality television. My recent favorite is Bad Girls Club: Miami. I laugh so hard at their ridiculous drama, and spent more than a couple hours today watching the marathon when I should have been working on homework. Anyways, this post does have a point. I just wanted to point out how flippin' adorable Lea is. I am dying over how hot her hair is. I love the blonde streaks on the sides. I. NEED. IT. NOW.
(if anyone knows who these photos belong to/who to give credit to please do because i have simply forgotten where i found them!)
wanna learn something?
as a requirement for my human relations minor, i am currently taking a class called non-oppressive relationships. in the three weeks of classes i've had, i have learned so much already. you don't have to believe any of this, but i think it is so interesting, and it questions everything i've ever been taught. here is a video called The Story of Stuff. it is one of the most informative things i've watched in a long time. if you've got 21 minutes to kill i strongly recommend you watch it. i've linked the website above, so you can go and look into the research, and decide for yourself whether or not it is truthful.

current obsession: horrorpops
the horrorpops have always been one of my favorite rockabilly bands, and lately i've rediscovered my love for them. not only do they play awesome music, but their style is incredible, and the lead singer is a kick ass chick. what more could you ask for?

locally grown deliciousness.
i am a strong believer in supporting local farmers. not only does it help out the "little guy," but locally grown food is so much more flavorful. when i was home in colorado we got a whole bunch of different fruits and veggies, and it was so delicious. my favorite, as always, was the colorado peaches. soooo yummy. i could eat them everyday for the rest of my life.

do any of you every buy local food? what did you think about it?
